Welcoming more than 1,500 new members over the last two years, the ABCRA is one of the fastest growing Associations in the country. With 238 affiliated committees, combining to run more than 500 events annually, members of the ABCRA have access to the safest and most competitive events staged anywhere across Australia.
The ABCRA has more than 75 years’ experience coordinating and assisting affiliated committees to conduct events. Through the association’s dedicated affiliation process, the ABCRA works closely with committees to ensure all events adhere to strict safety protocols and animal welfare guidelines, plus members of the ABCRA will be automatically covered by the Association’s Personal Accident and Public Liability Insurances (up to $20-million cover). All of ABCRA’s events are run through the state-of-the-art event management program, iCompete, providing instant live scoring and updates.
Through competing at affiliated events throughout the year, ABCRA members have the chance to vie and compete for a spot at the association’s hallmark event – the National Finals – one of the nation’s largest rodeo and campdraft series, which attracts the country’s top athletes and more than 10,000 spectators!
We want our great sports of rodeo and campdraft to grow into the future, that’s why the ABCRA plays a pivotal role in education and development with clinics and workshops held throughout the year for all levels and abilities. The association also had a dedicated youth development program to foster the growth of young and new athletes and provide a pathway to professional competitions.

If you wish to use your voucher, you will need to follow these steps

Important Notes:
- Membership fees are inclusive of GST.
- If you are a competitor, please DO NOT select BASIC in the membership renewal area – this is a non-competing membership only.
- To be eligible to compete and for points to be awarded, membership must be paid prior to running in your event.
- New Members who are Campdraft Encouragement riders need to advise Head Office of their Encouragement status at the time of renewing your membership. This will ensure you gain points in the Encouragement Rider standings. If joining as part of a combined or family membership, please also provide your membership number near your encouragement status.
- Magazine entitlement will commence from the date of membership payment.
- All fines incurred in the previous membership year must be paid before renewal can be processed (Rule G.14.).
- Every ABCRA 8-U13 Junior or 13/U18 Juvenile member is required to have at least one parent/legal guardian who is a member of the ABCRA. The Parent/Legal Guardian will also be required to sign the ABCRA Code of Behaviour and Parental Consent and Indemnity before a Junior membership can be processed. Please note that it is the parent/legal guardian’s responsibility to ensure that any minor or child under their control will use appropriate tack, be suitably mounted and competent to compete at the level entered.
- 2026/27 Membership Year runs from the 1st May 2026 to 30th April 2027, with payments due 1st May 2026.
- New members joining now will receive membership through until the 30th April 2027.
- ABCRA uses the iCompete system for all membership applications. New Members will need to create a profile for iCompete in order to apply for membership.
